The
Sydney Arrows Ice Racing Club is Sydney’s premier
Short Track Speed Skating Club based at Canterbury’s
Olympic Ice Rink in Sydney, Australia
The
club caters for members of all abilities. We are proud
to have amongst our members current international, Australian
and New South Wales (NSW) representatives, former World
Men’s and World
Relay Champions, National and State record holders and
two members of the 1994 Winter Olympic Bronze
Medal Relay Team.
Club
& Skate School sessions:
Mondays:
5:45 pm (club off-ice) & 7:15 pm (club ice)
Wednesdays:
6:00 am (club ice) & 5:30 pm (club off-ice)
Thursdays:
6:30 pm Stake School & 7:15 pm (club ice)
Sundays:
6:00 am (club ice) 7:30 am (club off-ice)
Please
note that AM times may vary during the season - check
the training timetable for the month on the right pane.
Note:
Training fees apply for team training; Fees can
be paid
monthly or pay-as-you-train for
those less frequent users. We welcome
skaters from other clubs (national or international)
provided permission is sought
via the coach and club management and training
fees are paid. Non-members of the AIRA or IRNSW associations
cannot skate with the club team. Rink fees are
payable
upon entry or via the COIR-entry-fee-card structure
(Monthly; Quarterly; Annually) - Enquire at reception.
Our
Skate School runs every Thursday from 6.15 pm all year
round with classes available for all age groups. The
coaching team is headed by Maggie Holland former NSW and
National coach who took our national team to bronze in
the 1994 Winter Olympics. When you have developed your
basic skills you will be welcomed to more advanced training.
Beginner
classes every Thursday evening 6.30 – 7.15
pm
Classes run by former Olympic coach Maggie Holland with
experienced assistants.
