Sydney Arrows History

Sydney Arrows Ice Racing Club is one of the longest established short-track ice racing clubs in Australia. Our club has had a strong association with Canterbury Ice Rink, our home base, since the rink was established in 1971.

Our club was formed at Blacktown workers club which was then its home base back when Blacktown workers operated an ice rink. In 1984, the club moved to Canterbury Ice Rink as the Blacktown workers club ceased to operate their rink.

We are proud to have had amongst our members current international, Australian and New South Wales representatives, former World Men's and World Relay Champions, National and State record holders and two members of the 1994 Winter Olympic Bronze Medal Team.
